County Line Project Finishes on Time, Under Budget

Traffic now moves more smoothly and safely in and around Park Meadows Retail Resort and the adjacent interchange, thanks to the recent completion of Phase 2A of the County Line Road and I-25 Road Improvement Project.

“We want people to have the best experience possible when traveling through Lone Tree, and relieving traffic congestion is an important piece of that,” said Mayor Jackie Millet.

Project highlights included:

  • Widening Park Meadows Center Drive to include three signalized lanes for access to I-25 North, I-25 South and County Line Road east

  • A second left-turn lane from westbound County Line Road into Park Meadows Retail Resort

  • Widening the off-ramp from southbound I-25 onto County Line Road to add a westbound right-turn lane

  • Repaving and storm sewer improvements on County Line Road between Chester Street and I-25.

In addition to the City of Lone Tree, project partners included Douglas County, Denver South Transportation Management Association and Park Meadows Metropolitan District.

Phase 2B—which will include revisions to the I-25 southbound off-ramp and further improve traffic operations and reduce congestion for motorists heading eastbound to Inverness—is scheduled to begin in spring 2019.
