All the Elections Happening in Lone Tree this May

It's local election season! Not only is the City of Lone Tree holding a City Council election (check out that information here), but there are several other special district elections happening in the area that you may be eligible to vote for. 

For a complete list of the special districts you are a part of, go to govotecolorado.com. From there, select "Find My Registration" (or "Register to Vote" if you aren't already!), log in using your name, zip code, and birthday, and then select the "County and District Information" tab. 

 

The following districts in Lone Tree are holding elections this May:

South Suburban Park and Recreation District

The next regular election of the South Suburban Park and Recreation District is on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. It will be a polling place election, with the option of obtaining an absentee ballot. Three board positions will be filled.

All Lone Tree residents are a part of South Suburban. The polling place in Lone Tree will be at the Lone Tree Hub (8827 Lone Tree Parkway). Other polling locations include the South Suburban Golf Course Club House, the Goodson Recreation Center, and the Buck Recreation Center. South Suburban will offer drop boxes for permanent mail ballots or absentee mail ballots at each polling site.

Park Meadows Metropolitan District

Park Meadows Metropolitan District will conduct an election on May 8 by mail ballot to fill three seats on their board. An election will take place only if there are more than three candidates for these board positions.

South Metro Fire Rescue Authority

South Metro Fire Rescue Authority will be having a polling place election for its board of directors.  All districts will get to vote, even if there is not a contested election. 

There will be 7 polling locations, all located at fire stations.  There will not be a polling place within Lone Tree. The closest polling places for Lone Tree residents will be located at Station 33 (7281 East Dry Creek Road in Centennial), Station 36 (421 East Castle Pines Parkway in Castle Rock), or Station 45 (16801 Northgate Drive in Parker).
